KAAMS App for Late Attendance by teachers and staff, as per Karnataka Civil Service Rules (KCSR) and latest guidelines of Education Department, the following rules will apply:
1. Grace Period
Generally should be present in the morning when the school starts. However, due to transportation or unavoidable reasons, the department from 10Gives 15 minutes grace period.
For example: If school starts at 9:45 am, check-in is allowed by 9:55 or 10:00 am.
2. 1 casual leave deduction for three days late (3 Late Marks = 1 CL)
If you are late check-in for 3 days within a month, 1 day of casual leave will be deducted from your account.- CL) will be deducted.
If there is no CL balance in your account, it will be treated as Earning Leave (EL) or Unauthorized Leave.
3. (Absence)
If the grace period is over and the check-in is very late (eg more than 1 hour late), that half day will be treated as half day leave unless there is a valid reason or highlights.(Half-Day Leave) The headmaster or superiors have the power to change it.
If you arrive late without prior permission and do not register your attendance in the app, that day will be treated as 'absent'.
4. Punishment and Disciplinary Action
Late Marks data recorded in the app will be sent directly to Taluk (BEO) and District Level (DDPI) officials.will be available.
If there is continuous lateness in a month, the department may issue a show cause notice to the concerned staff. If no valid reason is given, it may be recorded in the Service Register.

* *Check-out* in KAAMS App before the end of the scheduled school period (Early Departure) will be treated as dereliction of duty or dereliction of duty.considered. The following rules* apply as per Karnataka Civil Service Rules (KCSR) and Education Department Regulations:
1. Half-Day Leave
If Check-out is done without prior approval much earlier than the official closing time of the school (for example during the afternoon), the second half of that day will be treated as Half-Day CL.
Contingency leave in your leave accountIf (CL) is not due, it will be replaced as Earning Leave (EL) or Leave Without Pay (LWA).
2. Late In & Early Out
Early check-out thrice in a month (or arriving late in the morning and leaving early in the evening), will deduct 1 day of casual leave (CL) as per rule.
3. Prior Approval and School Movement Register
official work(OOD/Training): In case of leaving before the school term for official work of the department, CRC meeting, or field work, permission of the Headmaster (HM) must be entered in the Movement Register of the school. Then 'On Duty' (OD) option has to be used in the app.
Personal Emergencies: In case of unavoidable personal reasons, half-day emergency leave with the prior permission of the Headmaster.CL) submit the application and exit.
4. Unauthorized Absence and Disciplinary Action
In case early Check-out without any prior notice or permission is observed consistently, it will be treated as 'Unauthorized Absence' and a Show Cause Notice will be issued at BEO or DDPI level.
This is your performance report and annual salary promotion(Increment) can also be influenced.
​Note: As KAAMS app works on the basis of Geo-fencing, 'Check-out' is possible only when you are inside the school premises. The app does not allow remote check-out after leaving the school. If such a problem is encountered due to a technical error, it should be immediately brought to the attention of the headmaster and a manual request (Manual Approval) should be sent.
